    "Gotta laugh at the "Centro de información turística." There's always an employee or two inside, reading or talking on the phone, seldom an employee to actually help. I walked by it every day and finally saw a friendly-looking young woman at the window. She gave me one of those inexpensive maps with illustrations of buildings."

    "We had just arrived in Madrid and went to the Tourist Centre to get some advice on where to go and places to see. The gentleman we spoke to was borderline rude and almost rolled his eyes at us. He said it was the height of the season and we wouldn't be able to get tickets to any attractions in Madrid. He made us feel stupid for not knowing this and said we would know for next time. We went back to our hotel, did some research and were able to book the attractions we wanted to see with no problem online. We went to the Museo Reina Sofia and the Royal Palace with no queues or crowds. We were so baffled by this man's response and were so happy we did our own research. We are from Europe, so felt like we were able to navigate the ticketing system online. However, this may not be the case for travellers from other parts of the world. This was a very disappointing experience."
