N EW YORK (AP) — Yankees star Aaron Judge was struck in the face by a toss from teammate Anthony Volpe as they were coming off the field after the fifth inning of Saturday’s 12-6 loss to the New York Mets.

Aaron Judge was hit in the head coming off the field with a ball thrown by Anthony Volpe during the Yankees-Mets game on Saturday.

Following the fifth inning of the Yankees' game against the New York Mets, Volpe tossed back the baseball in Judge's direction as part of a between-innings ritual. Unfortunately, Judge's attention was elsewhere and he didn't see the ball flying straight toward his head.
