A man charged with tampering with evidence in connection to the ambush on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center in Texas allegedly tried to conceal anti-government and anti-Trump documents.

The suspect, a former U.S. Marine Corps reservist, is accused of joining 11 others in an organized attack against officers at the Prairieland Detention Center.

ALVARADO, Texas (AP) — Ten people have been arrested on attempted murder charges in connection with a shooting outside of a Texas immigration detention center that wounded a police officer, where people in black military-style clothing fired at authorities in a “planned ambush,” a U.S. attorney said.

An Alvarado Police officer was shot in the neck Friday night after responding to a suspicious person call, authorities said.
