Nvidia Corp's results in the coming week could guide the U.S. stock market on its next path, as investors turn their focus to the technology sector and artificial intelligence trade after an election-fueled rally stalled.

Investors will be paying close attention to sales of Nvidia’s recently-launched Blackwell chip. Nvidia’s earnings will take centre stage for the US stock market this week, while FTSE 100 firms Imperial Brands, Severn Trent and Halma report across the pond.

Earnings season is nearly over, with 92% of the S&P 500 SPX having reported results for fiscal quarters at the end of Thursday, according to FactSet. The standout company among those yet to report is Nvidia Corp.
