Temperatures are going to jump Thursday as a warm airmass makes it way over the region, according to forecasters. A high of 90 is anticipated that day, but forecasters said it will feel like 100 with humidity. The Lehigh Valley will be under a heat advisory from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Tomorrow will start off dry, but outer rainbands from the tropical wave in the Gulf will move through the day, bringing us a good chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Highs will top out in the low 90s.

A few more showers and storms will be possible Tuesday night, driven by daytime heating. After the sun sets, all storms should dissipate. Clouds will gradually clear and Wednesday should be mostly sunny and breezy with winds coming from the south around 20 mph.

Lower Hudson Valley residents may be in for some extreme heat conditions and a possible second round of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday, July 16.

Acadiana will likely get its heaviest rain Friday into Saturday as the system lifts north and out of the area, the speed of the system will be important here and any signs of stalling would spike the chance of flooding.

Wednesday will be a noticeably cooler day due to clouds and rain. A few thunderstorms are also possible, but the severe threat remains low.Rain will become widespread by around the midmorning hours as a surface low pressure approaches the area.

NWS Cleveland predicts storms and varied weather for the region with potential flash floods and cooling temperatures post-storms.
