James Gunn's film crossed the $300 million mark at the global box office, and is nearing $200 million at the domestic market.

In a recent GQ cover story on David Corenswet, who plays Clark Kent/Superman in the film, Gunn shared his thoughts on the pressure to deliver at the box office amid “superhero fatigue” in recent years.

Superman hit the big screen on July 11 with all the power of a Kryptonian smashing through a Metropolis high-rise. The film is a reboot from director James Gunn, who directed the Guardians of the Galaxy series.
