FOX31's Nate Belt spoke with West Metro Fire on the danger of batteries after a cell phone caught on fire inside a Southwest plane and forced an evacuation.

One person suffered a minor injury during the evacuation, while another, whose phone was the source of the fire, was treated for burns, airline officials said.

A passenger whose cellphone caught fire was treated for burns, and one other passenger sustained minor injuries during the evacuation.

Before takeoff, a Southwest Airlines flight heading from Denver to Houston had to evacuate more than 100 passengers after a phone caught fire.
