The FIFA World Cup 2026 draw will feature a lineup of former and current star athletes assisting with the event.
FIFA announced the entertainment for the World Cup draw being held Friday, Dec. 5, in Washington, D.C. with Kevin Hart and Heidi Klum set to co-host the event at the Kennedy Center. Klum, the supermodel and Emmy winner, also hosted the 2006 World Cup draw in her native Germany.
But for the first time in this expanded 48-team World Cup, FIFA is making some changes to how the draw and match schedules are revealed. They will be separate events. The draw will take place on Friday, Dec. 5 at noon Eastern Time and air on Fox. The schedules will come out the following day.
Ferdinand and Johnson will draw the 12, four-team groups with help from NFL great Tom Brady, hockey Hall of Famer Wayne Gretzky, basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal, and New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge.
