The quest for a 2025 PIAA state title has reached the last round, as the finals in all classifications will be played Dec. 4-6 at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg. In Class 4A, the championship has come down to Twin Valley vs. Southern Lehigh. The winner will be crowned as the 2025 PIAA 4A state champion.

The quest for an unprecedented fourth consecutive state championship reaches its final chapter Wednesday night as the Chicago Mount Carmel Caravan (13-0) face the Oswego Panthers (11-2) in the IHSA Class 8A football championship at Hancock Stadium in Normal.

The Union Bears (12-0) face the Ridgeview Wolfpack (11-1) in a Class 2 Virginia (VHSL) high school football regional final Saturday afternoon at Bullitt Park in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. The winner will advance to face Glenvar (13-0) in a Class 2 state semifinal Saturday, December 6. The state championship game is set for Saturday, December 13.

In Class 1A, the championship has come down to Bishop Guilfoyle vs. Clairton. The winner will be crowned as the 2025 PIAA 1A state champion. Bishop Guilfoyle heads into the game with a chance to repeat as 1A champions. In the way is a hard-hitting WPIAL champion in Clairton, which is riding a 14-game win streak.
