Ukraine is struggling to defend itself against the growing number of attack drones that Moscow has started using in its onslaughts.

Ukrainian drones have struck one of Russia’s largest oil refineries, sparking a fire, Russian officials and Ukraine’s military said Sunday. The overnight strike on the Kirishi refinery, in Russia's northwestern Leningrad region, follows weeks of Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil infrastructure that Kyiv says fuels Moscow’s war effort.

"We are dealing with a direct technological race in which the advantage will go to those who not only modernize but also stay ahead," Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said.

President Vladimir Putin has called on Russia's aerospace industry to advance the development of booster rocket engines. Meeting with industry specialists in Samara, Putin emphasized the importance of maintaining Russia's leadership in space technology and innovation by further enhancing their aerospace capabilities.

Crew members aboard the Admiral Golovko, a frigate with the Northern Fleet, fired a Zircon missile at a sea target in the Barents Sea, Russia's government said on Sunday. The Admiral Golovko has been known to carry Zircon missiles for several years.

President Vladimir Putin has called on Russia's aerospace industry leaders to focus on developing booster rocket engines, aiming to maintain Russia's reputation in space technology. The call was made during a visit to Samara,

"I think we in the United States are behind ... I think a lot of nations are behind, and I think to the credit of the Ukrainians, they picked up on that, and they're the world leaders in it."

In a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Jaishankar hailed the India-Russia relationship.
