The upper level trough over the Eastern U.S. & the positioning of the Bermuda high to the east over the Atlantic are the main drivers for where Imelda goes. While there will not be direct interaction between Humberto & Imelda, the softening of the ridge to the north that will turn Humberto looks like it will also be the “out” for Imelda.
