Twice MotoGP champion Francesco Bagnaia claimed his first pole position of the season at the Czech Republic motorcycle Grand Prix on Saturday, edging out Ducati teammate Marc Marquez, who crashed on his final qualifying lap.

JOHANNEBSURG - After a 5-year hiatus, Moto GP has returned to The Czech Republic's Brno Circuit this weekend. Despite needing to re-familiarize himself with the track he last won at in 2019, Marc Marquez once again rose to the top of the sprint race results.

Marquez’s error came two races after he broke a bone in his left hand after a crash with KTM’s Pedro Acosta at Assen, and the younger Marquez has scored just 31 points – to his brother’s 111 – in the past three rounds.
