Today is a WXII 12 News First Warning Weather Impact Day in the viewing area as a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms is possible and a flood watch is in effect for the Foothills and Mountains of North Carolina and southern areas of Virginia.
Between July 18 and Aug. 12, you can see the Southern Delta Aquariids shower in the Northern Hemisphere by looking to the south.
