Meteorite hunters are combing Ohio for fragments of a space rock that streaked across the sky earlier this week.
The Houston resident said the meteorite broke through the roof and ceiling before landing in a bedroom in her home, according to reports.
Skywatchers across the U.S. witnessed a third meteor streaking across the sky within a week's span. It comes after fireballs were seen in the Pittsburgh and Texas areas, both of which produced loud booms.
A streaking fireball lit the starkly cold Tuesday morning sky and detonated with the force of 250 tons of TNT, rattling windows and alarming Northeast Ohioans.
Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of this event exactly," Steven Sladek said of the meteorite that shook Northeast Ohio on Tuesday.
