A wildfire burning between Colorado Springs and Penrose continues to grow.
Coloradans in Fremont and Costilla counties were still under mandatory evacuation orders Saturday as wildfires continued to burn roughly 100 miles apart on Fort Carson and in Chama Canyon.
The “24 Fire,” sparked Wednesday just east of Highway 115 near mile marker 24 and remains at nearly 2,000 acres as of Sunday morning.
