Compass will pay the equivalent of $13.01 for each share of Anywhere common stock, in an all-stock transaction set to close in the second half of 2026. Compass shares opened 0.63% higher on Tuesday, after closing 15.7% lower on Monday, according to Dow Jones Market Data. Anywhere stock was 1.5% higher, following Monday’s 45.5% climb.
The Compass-Anywhere merger would create the 26th largest mortgage originator through Rate partnerships, combining $9 billion in annual loan volume across their joint ventures.
