AirTag 2, expected to launch next year, will reporyedly make it harder to tamper with the speaker. Morever, they are also said to boost the range.

In this week's Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that it may be harder to remove the speaker from the next AirTag.

Apple is reportedly on track to release the AirTag 2 next year, and the second-gen tracker will bring three improvements to the table.
