Big Dumper is ready to take on the world. Mariners All-Star catcher and MLB home run leader Cal Raleigh announced on Monday that he will join Team USA for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. (And then he went out and won the T-Mobile Home Run Derby.
Raleigh is not only set to start at catcher for the American League in Tuesday night’s All-Star Game, but he’ll also be competing in his first-ever Home Run Derby on Monday. No catcher has ever won the event, but Raleigh is in a prime position to make history as the betting favorite, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
