A volcanic eruption in southwestern Iceland has once again forced the evacuation of local residents and tourists at the internationally known Blue Lagoon geothermal spa.

Tourists at Iceland's Blue Lagoon geothermal spa were forced to pack up and get out as a volcanic eruption left lava oozing from a 3,000-foot fissure in the ground.

In Iceland, a new volcanic eruption has forced evacuations at the Blue Lagoon and a campsite. This marks the twelfth eruption since 2021, but officials claim that the infrastructure will remain unharmed.
