Though the New England Patriots lost to the Rams, 28-22, on Sunday, it was a pretty special day for defensive tackle Christian Barmore. He made his 2024 debut for New England on Sunday, something he didn't think would happen just a few months ago after he was diagnosed with blood clots in late July.

Barmore had a breakout year in 2023 and signed a big contract to stay in New England before he was sidelined by the diagnosis.

One especially valuable resource for Barmore was Patriots center David Andrews, who missed the entire 2019 season after doctors found blood clots in his lungs. Andrews, who is on injured reserve after undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery, was able to share his unique perspective with the young defender.
