Toni Lawson with the Idaho Hospital Association said that roughly $1 trillion in Medicaid funding cuts will impact people who rely on the health insurance programs and rural hospitals in the state.

Sen. Tim Scott talked about two pieces of recent legislation that have passed Congress: the One Big Beautiful Bill and the Genius Act.

The biggest number of people becoming uninsured will be Americans enrolled in Medicaid, which currently covers more than 78 million people.
