🏈On December 21, 1969 the Dallas Cowboys beat the Washington Redskins 20-10 at the Cotton Bowl. The game marked legendary head coach Vince Lombardi’s final game. The Redskins finished at 7–5–2, their first winning record since the 1955 season, in Lombardi’s lone season in Washington. Lombardi died the following year, but he was credited to have changed the culture for the Redskins while laying the foundation for Washington’s early 1970s success under coach George Allen.🏈 | Davenport Sports Net
