It’s been a deadly start to 2025 on Oahu roads. Fatalities spiked despite multiple new and familiar enforcement efforts by the Honolulu Police Department. The most recent taking place early yesterday morning. Some have happened during the day, others overnight. At least one person appears to have died after a fiery crash on Hawaii Island. The crash happened between mile markers 25 and 26 on Daniel K. Inouye Highway, also known as Saddle Road, on the Hilo side of Mauna Kea Access Road. There are multiple injured victims, including children.
