Plum Blossom in Three Variations was rediscovered in a 1425 guqin book. The guqin is a Chinese string instrument with a history dating back some 3,000 years. The piece uses the plum blossom as a metaphor to praise people with moral integrity. Here's my transcription of the piece for solo guitar. In my concert at 国家大剧院National Centre for the Performing Arts on 27th July I will be performing this piece as a duo with guqin.
