How can an artist capture the glory of a poppy meadow in full bloom? This video shows me working on a poppy field image. There are several layers of coloured ink that contribute to its rich, tapestry-like surface. I thought a lot about the subtle green/gold/red colour contrasts that give an optical “pop”.
