According to iNaturalist, this is Stereum, and from what I've found online, this would be Stereum ostrea, aka False Turkey Tail. I could absolutely be wrong, as I'm very new to fungus identification, so if you know otherwise, please comment below! When I tried finding the Lakota name for this type of mushroom, I found čhaŋnáŋkpa, which translates into mushrooms growing on trees, and pȟéta yuhála, which translates into wood rotting mushrooms. I would guess this one would be čhaŋnáŋkpa, since I do
